Who Hires a Coach? Of course, for years professional athletes have had coaches and having a success coach is not that different. With so many things going on in our lives today it is easy to get distracted, listen to the naysayers and in general get pulled off track of what we really want. It’s easy to get pulled into focusing on what we don’t want and why we “can’t”. A coach can pull you out of that “stinkin’ thinkin’” and get you on the right track, focused on your future and thinking correctly so you can reenergize those goals and dreams and actually see them manifest! There’s a saying we love and that is, “ You have to do it by yourself but you can’t do it alone.” Pretty much describes coaching!
How Does Coaching Work?
More and more people are turning to coaches today to accomplish their goals: professionals in every field, entrepreneurs, CEO’s, people in transition, and in general, people who have goals or dreams they want to accomplish and haven’t been able to do it on their own to date. People also hire a coach when they realize they are at a turning point in their life and need help figuring out what it is they do want and need someone to help them put together a plan and stick to it, as well as inspire them to keep going. Coaching Clients Results:
In her own words, Lori was "stuck" in more ways than one. She had an old paradigm about money and wealthy people that held her back from listing properties over $100K. She had, according to her, a negative attitude and was allowing several fears to stand in her way of success; not only in business but in her personal health and relationships. She attended one of our classes in December that began to open her eyes to the possibilities and after meeting another client decided to coach with me for 3 months the following first quarter. She was very coachable and eager to change. Here is her touching story…
"Dear Camille,

I started my year with lots of positive goals to improve my income, health and personal finances. It didn’t take long before the negative surroundings brought me down and I was thinking of changing companies. Thank God you called me one afternoon just to see how I was doing. I really felt that conversation helped me. It made me change my mind about going to our awards banquet. I know that Marjorie was there for a reason and that was to tell me about your coaching. It took no time for her to convince me to call you first thing Monday morning.
I have to admit that our first month was overwhelming. All the things that you had me thinking about were mind boggling. They were things I had never considered or thought about before. Now you had me thinking and explaining why. You have been there for me to keep my goals going. I’ve had to be accountable for my actions, explaining to you why I did not do something and why I was thinking the way I was.
The most remarkable thing I discovered with you is the love I have had for my Dad (who is passed). Someone who I have maybe thought about for 15 minutes total in the last 34 years. I can’t tell you the closeness that I have with him now, spiritually. I find myself talking to him daily, thinking about him and wanting to be close to him. Because of you, I feel like he is watching me, he is proud of me and I can use his energy through my body. This new bond that I have with him has motivated me to push through some of my fears. My dad had very low self esteem and now I feel that he is pushing me to be what he wasn’t. I feel great about it. I feel like I finally have a parent who is proud of me, which I missed out on all these years.
You have also taught me how to deal with my co-workers and it has made me not take things so personally. You kept pushing me to get out there and meet business people. This was my biggest fear and the reason that my income was not as high as it could have been. Since you have been working with me, I have gone to Business After Hours, I’ve joined the Optimist Club and have gone to some get- togethers with business owners. I am pushing myself and I am really working on the fear.
Since working with you I’ve also been going to the monthly membership meetings of our local board of realtors and have signed up for the golf outing this year.
I have been exercising daily, watching what I eat and am seeing my body changing for the good. I am determined to get to my ideal weight, thanks to you.
I have a totally different attitude toward everything. I am just amazed at how easy my thoughts can be changed to the good with that little trick. (the rubber band on the wrist).
I have learned how much happier I am in every aspect of my life by changing my thoughts and actions. The most interesting thing about all of this is the fact that I have noticed people can’t figure out what is different about me but they say there is something. I was told that it is not external but internal, and they can’t figure out what it is. I’ve been told that I “glow”.
am now working on hiring that assistant that I have needed so badly. I have my vision set in my mind on what my life looks like and there is no going back. I am staying determined and focused. Just a brief note of thanks to tell you how much I appreciate and have benefited from your personal coaching as well as your 90 minute teleconference calls. Prior to joining your program, I had attended many seminars, listened to many CDS and tapes from sales gurus. Although I received some benefit from them, none of them as helped me as much as your program. I was always doing well with my company, and was ranked No. 5 for the year 2005. Try as I might, I was never able to blast myself to the Number One position which as a part of your needs assessment was my primary goal for 2006. I am happy to report that for the second month in a row, January and February 2006 that I am ranked number one in the company and with your help and my abilities and hard work, intend to stay in that slot for the remainder of the year. The most recent sales contest that I won was for most sales from the 15th of February to the 28th, $18,000.00 in sales resulting in being able to get the first place Gold in our Winter Olympics contest which meant a bonus of $800.00. In addition to that, I received another $500.00 award for having the highest dollar volume over quota, $17,898.00 above monthly quota of $25,000.00. These two months puts me on a fast track towards the Presidents Club whose membership includes additional bonuses and prizes, (big screen plasma tv) as well as a Caribbean Cruise on Carnival in May of 2007. Camille, the amount that I invested in your programs is small compared to the benefits and bonuses that you have helped me to achieve. Anybody who does not enroll in your courses is costing themselves money and letting the competition get ahead of them. I had my doubts initially about investing such a sum of money, and rest assured, I have no doubts, am very happy that I did. Sheri had several intense situations happening at once in her extended family as well as personally when she came to me for coaching.
